Editorial responsibility
FolkUp Library books are signed with the pseudonym «Comandante FolkUp». Behind the pseudonym stands one living person: Andrei Klemenchenok, a resident of Portugal, publisher and editor. The pseudonym is a Banksy-style convention for non-commercial brand identity, not a way to hide responsibility.

How we use AI
FolkUp uses AI assistants (Anthropic Claude and other models) as drafting and research tools in book production:
- Literary analysis and structural work on manuscripts
- Translation (Russian → English, German, European Portuguese) with subsequent native-speaker human editing
- Fact-checking through OSINT research and cross-source verification
Every published book passes through human review gates:
- Editorial gate — manuscript assembly, ЩИТ v5.0 quality control
- Native-speaker review for non-Russian translations (Vier-Augen / Quatro Olhos / Four-Eyes principle)
- Legal review before publication
Use of AI — voluntary disclosure
FolkUp voluntarily discloses the use of AI in the production of its books. Under Article 50(4), second subparagraph, of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act), the obligation to label AI-generated text does not apply where the content has undergone a process of human review or editorial control and a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility for its publication. That person is Andrei Klemenchenok. We disclose it nonetheless, as an editorial choice.
The pseudonym «Comandante FolkUp» is used on public surfaces (book pages, catalog, footer, metadata) — a Banksy-style convention for non-commercial brand identity. The pseudonym carries the series brand; this page is a voluntary editorial disclosure, not a label required by law.
